Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Maintenance Technicians for both our Afternoon (3PM – 11PM) and Night Shift (9PM – 7AM) to join our growing Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining operation efficiency of production equipment and general plant operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Resolve machine problems as they occur
- Perform mechanical maintenance related to repairing heavy industrial equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform Maintenance in accordance with company policy
- Communicate with supervisors daily on issues concerning the department
- Create a team atmosphere
- Conduct safety inspections, maintenance audits and training.
- Assist in installation of new equipment
- Responsible for entering work and part requests into computerized maintenance management system
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Blueprint reading
- Electrical diagram knowledge
- General mechanical knowledge including hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
- Variable speed motor control installation and maintenance
- Ability to solder, braze, rod weld or tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding
- 1 year experience maintaining industrial machinery and controls
- 1 year experience maybe from equivalent technical educational training in a relevant field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical education training in industrial maintenance, electrical, welding, machine tool and/or HVAC systems.
